StudioMM creates ideas, art directs, designs and produces

Madeleine Penny is a film and photography director and producer. Matt Curtis is an animation and magazine art director and designer. Madeleine started her career developing and editing film for sports photographers while Matt started out as a designer for Matt Willey at Studio8.
      In 2009, they launched The Times science magazine Eureka, also creating an app and establishing the Eureka Young Photographer Awards and Exhibition.
      Matt went on to art direct the paper’s coverage of the London Olympic Games, from print to digital, and together they produced a series of short films for the Olympics, aired on Sky Sports.
      Madeleine later art directed the launch content for the Wellcome Trust’s digital editorial platform Mosaic.
      In 2014, the pair joined The Sunday Times Magazine, where Matt led a redesign. A year later he was named Art Director of the Year at the British Society of Magazine Editors.
       Immediately before co-founding StudioMM in 2016, Madeleine was art buying on behalf of agencies such as BBH, adam&eveDDB and Mother London.
